With this machine you can do the work in one setup and with free tools in the ATC. The MULTUS U3000 has a B-axis range of 240° with a 12,000 rpm H1 milling spindle with dual function (L/M). The H1 dual function spindle head uses CAPTO C6 tools and has a high performance 25kW milling motor spindle. The H1 turret features a 0.001 degree B-axis, provided by a moving column Y-axis feed, enabling powerful Y-axis machining over a 250mm range. Both the left and right spindles are equipped with a fully contoured C-axis. Thanks to the OSP-P300 control, familiar programming methods from the lathe and machining center disciplines can be easily combined, so that advanced functions such as the “Collision Avoidance System” are standard.
